We are living in the future. The practical use of waste products, the ability to isolate starch molecules, and sustainable agriculture have transformed disposable food packaging into an industry beyond oil. everything is simply made from plants. From production to disposal, plant products are kind to the environment; they fit in with the circle of natural life. Oil based plastic products are the opposite. Sourcing oil is dangerous - oil spills, super toxic refineries, and a long history of unethical business practice afflicts the fossil fuel industry. Globally, packaging needs to be better, and our contribution is making packaging from plants.

Aqueous Lining

Our aqueous lining uses a water-based dispersion system of polymers and additives to create a barrier, making it a plastic-free solution to traditional petrochemical plastics. Aqueous lining can be referred to as water-based lining or a water-based coating (these are all the same thing). Aqueous linings are food safe, Certified Plastic Free (7P1253) and contain no colourings or plastics.

FSC grown or Recycled Paper

Paper is fantastic, but not all trees are grown equal! The Forest Stewardship Council ensures forests are responsibly grown, leaving positive environmental and social impacts. We only use FSC or recycled paper, this paper can then be recycled again and again or composted too.

Fibre (Bagasse)

Bagasse is the material which makes our Fibre range, officially the waste from sugarcane production. The result is a diverse and easily malleable plant material that we can mould into loads of fantastic products. Using only heat and water in production, these materials are super sustainable, perfect for hot and cold foods and certified home compostable

PLA (Poly Lactic Acid)

PLA molecules are derived from corn, we use this rather than using plastic made from fossil fuels. We use low-carbon PLA biopolymers made from renewable resources. PLA can break down fully, back into organic molecules.

CPLA (Crystalised form of PLA)

This is PLA's heat tolerant cousin which maintains the same ability to compost fully but is opaque instead of clear, and a bit more hardy.

Inks, Dyes & Glues

We use plant based and non toxic inks, dyes and glues at decent packaging. Plant products know no bounds, all our inks are soy based and the adhesives we use are made from plants too. We also whiten paper products without bleach - using non toxic oxidation.

ASTM D6400 Certification

This is the international standard which uses tests to determine if bioplastics products will compost satisfactorily in commercial facilities.

TÜV Austria Belgium OK Compost Home composting Certification

The TÜV Austria Belgium OK Compost Home composting certification is an adaptation of EN 13432 which requires at least 90% degradation of the product in 12 months at an ambient 20-30 degrees celsius as expected in a home compost.
