decent places: London’s Best Matcha Spots for Matcha Day

Let’s be honest, not all matcha is made equal. If you are a matcha lover, then you know the difference. Whether you consider yourself a connoisseur or just getting started on your journey, we’ve pulled together a curated list of our favourite spots in London to try out this National Matcha Day.

Jenki

Hardly a hidden gem at this point, but Jenki is famous for good reason. They’ve been serving matcha in London and beyond since 2020 and now have 6 locations. Their menu is always changing, stop in to check out their interesting specials.

Look Left by Yugu

This is an in-store cafe inside the curated designer store, Yugu. They serve up a delicious Korean-inspired menu, and the matcha hits the spot. If you’re around London Fields, it’s worth the visit.

Hinaga

Next on the list is Hinaga in Fitzrovia. These guys specialise in high-quality traditional matcha, but they’re also known for kakigori - a traditional Japanese shaved ice dessert. Trust us, both the matcha and the dessert are as good as they look.

Tsujiri

Serving up authentic matcha on Liverpool St but with a fun twist. If you're after a matcha soft serve or a fun matcha float then Tsujiri is the place to head. They’ve been honing their craft since 1860, and it shows.
