decent places: Brighton

There are plenty of reasons to head south to Brighton. Between the coastal breeze and the vibrant culture, it’s also home to an impressive food and coffee scene.

Whether you're down for the weekend or grabbing your morning flat white, here are four of our favourite local gems.

Loam

Loam is a charming, stylish spot known for its top-notch coffee. With rotating guest filters from elite roasters and thoughtfully curated retail shelves, it’s an absolute must-visit on Gloucester Road.

The Flour Pot Bakery

It’s almost impossible to walk through the seaside without spotting a Flour Pot. With ten destinations dotted across the wider Brighton area, they’re a true local institution for incredible coffee and artisanal baked goods.

FIKA

FIKA boasts three lively locations across Brighton and Hove, all serving up delicious brunches and great drinks. Their sandos are seriously hard to resist.

Bayon Bakery

Tucked right by Hove station, Bayon Bakery lives up to their slogan: “simple pleasures, done well.” Their ever-changing selection of fresh pastries makes choosing at the counter almost impossible.
